Yesterday, the kids explored different science tools. They had to research how to use them and then apply their knowledge.

Wow! Today we had an awesome lesson! I gave the students the set of data and the mode (the answer). They had to work to figure out why the number was the answer. As a class they composed a definition. It was amazing the deep thinking that was going on.

Wow! I was so excited to see all the families that came out tonight to meet me and see the classroom. It is going to be a great year!

Classroom Ready!

Excited about the new year! My classroom is ready to go. I love my new plants. I hope the kids will be excited about working together to keep their table's plant alive.

I Love the New Pencil Sharpner! I got it from the Classroom Friendly Supplies- http://www.classroomfriendlysupplies.com/    I was able to sharpner 40 pencils in 10 minutes and they have the best points.

Welcome to my Blog. This is a first for me. I have been teaching for 13 years now. I have taught in a 5th grade class for 9 of those years. The other 4 years, I was blessed with the experience of teaching ESL (English as a Second Language), Reading Recovery, and was an Intervention Specialist.
